Alejandro Penogos' finca (farm) is located in Salgar, Antioquia, Columbia. The name of his farm is Finca Santa Cecilia located in Verda La Gulunga. He has four parcels situated at an elevation of 1,750 meters above sea level and produces 15,000 kilos per year in parchment. Alejandro's coffee has won recognition by the Specialty Coffee Association of Antioquia. He was also awarded the grand prize in a national-level competition hosted by the Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA) of Colombia and is currently receiving roasting and winnowing equipment, as awarded in that competition, to further his ability to operate in the coffee industry. His coffee is Fair Trade, Farmers Brothers Practices, and 4C certified.
